On Promises Kept, Rank Our Government ‘Unsatisfactory’
Harlingen, Texas, June 26, 2008: I really have a great amount of pity for those millions of poor souls who have such undying faith in the promises made by any politician, particularly those who hold national offices. Those who swallow this “Alice in Wonderland” rhetoric will suffer the deepest cuts of all when they step back through the looking glass and view reality for the first time.

Nazism, Marxism and Islam
There is an invidious desire by those on the atheist Left to pretend that Hitler and the Nazis were some sort of rogue Christians and that many devout Christians accepted the Nazis and Hitler as protectors against Bolshevism and Jews. Those who wish to so this often note that Hitler made references to the Almighty or to Providence in his speeches, invoking the name of God. This had nothing to do with Christianity and everything to do with his own religious beliefs, which were anything but Christian.

Obama Would Be A Clinton Third Term
Forget about the rancor of the Democrat Primary season. That is all history now. In truth, the heated rivalry between the two candidates was hardly an indicator of any philosophical or moral differences between them, but only a strident argument about which liberal “messiah” deserved to be president. Even the fierceness of their efforts was itself a reflection of comparable components of raw ambition that each possesses.

‘The (Liberal) Media Empire Strikes Back?’
Well, here we go again. It’s big-time politics. The liberal media’s finest hour! Just the look and sound of the word “politics” grates on me. So does the word “freedom” of a runaway liberal press. Has any other “freedom” or “right” of America’s Constitution ever been so abused?

Sex, Lies, and Datatapes of the Partner Abuse Industry
The domestic violence industry is reeling from a recent series of high-profile scandals, leaving abuse workers to wonder how things could have possibly gone so wrong.

Democrats Continue to Make Fools of Themselves
Allow me to begin by stating for the record that I realize how politically incorrect it is to single out a specific group of people and acknowledge their overtly foolish behaviors. But it seems we have reached a moment of insanity, when enough really should be enough!

‘Will the Greens Sacrifice Their Own ‘Sacred Cows’?’
Wired Magazine has published a list of “Green sacred cows” it says must be sacrificed to save the planet. Wired’s founding editor, Kevin Kelly, formerly edited the Whole Earth Catalog, so the magazine has credentials for rethinking what it means to be Green.

‘Are American Voters as Stupid As Democrats Bank On?’
I’d love to be able to say that American voters are far too intelligent to ever fall for the socialist drivel currently peddled by the New Democrat Party, aka - the Democratic Socialists of America. But that would be a lie…

Dismantling the USA Part I: The Beginnings
Today’s US Supreme Court ruling advising the country and the world that foreign terrorists now essentially are afforded the same rights to have their cases tried in the US federal court system and pounds another nail into the coffin of the USA, prompted me - again - towards the realization that today’s students haven’t a clue as to how and why the United States of America now finds itself in the current predicament that presages its end. Leftist academia has only taught them to hate their country. But, I do not only blame the leftist faction for its unrelenting indoctrination of Communist ‘principles’ calling for the destruction of freedom and liberty into the minds of children and young adults. I also blame our faux conservative elected officials for allowing said indoctrination to go unchecked for decades. And now it’s too late. This was probably our first - and greatest - mistake.

Land-Use Reform and Risk
Phil Truluck is today Executive Vice President of the Heritage Foundation. He is the right-hand man of Edwin J. (Ed) Feulner, Jr. In 1973 he worked under my supervision. Then as now he is one of the most able and tireless laborers for the cause I ever have known. That year he worked day and night on the liberal’s pet cause of that era - namely, land use. Had the land use bill passed the Federal Government would have been able, in effect, to do away with private property.
